One of the key challenges I have observed over 17 different DevOps transformations in last 8 years is the Biz-Tech divide and appreciation of how DevOps accelerates the business outcomes. What are some of the challenges you observed in this space? How did you approach those challenges?

@sandeep.mvp As a DevOps consultant who is spreading the word and performing DevOps transformation in my clients’ companies, the biggest challenge I need to deal with is the business leaders telling me “DevOps transformation is great and I want to do it, but because of my bad processes today I don’t have resources to allocate to it right now”

One of the tools I used successfully to bring alignment across different facets of DevOps (including variations such as DevSecOps, dataOps, AIOps and so forth) and get business leaders excited about the devops journey is through DevOps Strategy Canvas. I released it this Jan. I’ve been getting great feedback community and DevOps enthusiasts from the fields and currently working on next iteration. Hope this helps! https://www.sandeepmvp.com/devops-strategy-canvas-accelerating-business-outcomes

Thank you for the sharing, this canvas looks great to have an overview of DevOps transformation and reduce the biz-tech division. I think I will use it in the next transformation I will make and share any improvement I can see on it

My approach to this is “So, because you don’t do DevOps, you don’t have time or resources to implement DevOps... It seems you are in an endless loop, when will you be ready to break it?”

I love, love this topic. I moved out of Target’s tech organization about 18 months ago and am now a leader in our business. I’ve spent more time educating our most senior leaders on the importance of DevOps and Flow into everything we do. Its been a fun journey, but I feel like I’m just cracking the surface. Looking forward to this BOF channel over these 3 days
