I am having a hard time with the schedule. Is there a trick to finding a session by speaker? In other words, if I wanted to see the talk that Sean Norris is presenting, how can I find that?

Jess Meyer - IT Revolution (she/her)00:10:03

@cdavis if you click on Shaun Norris in the app, his session will pop up (its tomorrow, 1:55 in Nolita 2)

Cornelia Davis00:10:37

Thank you! Worked great!

Bjorn (Liatrio)00:10:46

Fellow Dojo coaches and masters would love to hangout in the evening (today/tomorrow) with šŸ» and chat dojo and more, give me a  if anyone is interested

Wayne Wang00:10:49

Awesome storytelling by the USCIS team!

Jerreck00:10:27

@me1208 isn't Ricardo Semlar the author of that book you mentioned earlier? Maverick?

Manuel Vidaurre13:10:27

@alex Hello! There are some presentations missing. Are those being included later in this folder? example: The Shiftā€”Creating a Culture of High Performance by Andre Martin

Margueritte Kim (CEO, IT Revolution, she/her)14:10:21

@dan.sloan Agree! Heā€™s on the panel today along with Drs. Forsgren and Maslach. See you there!

Manuel Vidaurre14:10:27

Completely agree! Dr Martin is a very engaging storyteller. I enjoyed very much his presentation

Nick Eggleston18:10:12

@bryanc @jeff.gallimore @mvk842 just a reminder to tell the audience if slides or video will not be available as a presenter is introduced. The expectations is everything will be available and itā€™s disappointing to find out after, when itā€™s too late to take better notes!

Jeff Gallimore (CTIO - Excella)01:10:28

Hey jfrog, got some food for ya!

Klaudia Breslavets - Vanguard01:10:47

Last year during author meet/greets, unsigned copies were walked down to ease the lines. We'd love to chat with Gene and CloudBees, and be early readers. Flow?

Greg01:10:07

Unsigned copies would be nice! Want the book but probably wonā€™t get one as they believe they will run out tonight..

Jonathan W01:10:39

Yes please! I don't want to stand in line for the entire duration of the party! Let's be agile about this!

Greg01:10:19

@weinberg.jon word!

Elaine Simone02:10:46

Do folks have a good distinction between Observability and telemetry? Is Telemetry the result of making Observable systems? Or I am missing a nuance?

Jonathan W02:10:47

>The real company values, as opposed to the nice sounding values, are shown by who gets rewarded, promoted, or let go. If we're going to practice devops, we need to extend it beyond the walls of delivering software. Aren't we you customer? Don't you want our feedback so you can iterate on better solutions, driving desirable outcomes? Flow, feedback, experimentation.

Tony Morris02:10:50

So, uh, the line to get the book. Really intense and long

Tony Morris02:10:11

Just decided against getting the book.

Jay Gordon02:10:46

Yeah ill just order

Jay Gordon02:10:16

Im from nyc, lines like that are not allowed.

cquinn03:10:19

That was a sarcastically long book line. So! Whereā€™s the next event / after party?

Greg03:10:01

Out of books!!! And the line has people! How can you know the number of attendees and not have enough books!! Sad

Not devops related. Was talking to a few different folks today about Tapeface and his show over at Harrahā€™s we saw last night. Here he is on Americaā€™s Got Talent awhile back. Highly recommend the show if youā€™re ever in town for it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m7wbAbc9PFk

Are people generally rating sessions in addition to the surveys? I'd love some advice on which sessions to watch afterwards since I don't have a time turner.

Robert Bobbett16:10:21

Thatā€™s fantastic. Iā€™ll make sure I talk to him about his second love. Haha @mvk842

Stephen Thomas16:10:25

The Future is Here (Functional Programming) we need to make it more evenly distributed

Robert Bobbett16:10:36

@stevesargon We have been pushing that agenda since 2012 and I couldnā€™t agree more.

Jerreck17:10:46

No a podcast, but all of the IT Rev audiobooks I've listened to are excellent quality. They cost more but I've found I'm much more likely to finish them and also read them much faster since I can listen to them while I drive or cook, for example.

Sany Saab17:10:13

Hey everyone, Iā€™m looking for some experience in building an Infra-As-Code pipeline from scratch, pitfalls and things to deal with first. Particularly on building auto-testing skills on both Linux and Windows machines. Anyone wanting to give insights, feel free to message me. Thanks.

Nina Pikula19:10:41

How many people opted into the mobile app? Im having a hard time finding some pople. Any insight would be great :)

Margueritte Kim (CEO, IT Revolution, she/her)19:10:11

@bryanc - Can you field the above? Thank you!

coffelt19:10:54

@nina.pikula I believe we had about 1170 attendees opt in. Additionally, users have to give permission in order to appear in the app, so that may have something to do with it.

Nina Pikula19:10:14

So the list if attendees wont come up right? Ive tried to search many people/ companies and i keep getting that no searches were found...

Re: books They are scanning badges for something about books that they won't disclose.

Margueritte Kim (CEO, IT Revolution, she/her)19:10:07

@jweller - Jim, we are scanning so we can capture email addresses of attendees who did not receive a book. We are then going to send those people a digital copy of The Unicorn Project.. This was the most expedient way for us to get books to folks. If you already got a physical copy, please donā€™t queue up for this. We are honestly doing our very best to keep you happy and deliver.
