Dear DevOps-community. It’s the first time I’m joining the DevOps Enterprise Summit and I’m so happy watching so many great and inspiring talks! Thx a lot for all your insights! 2018, I heard the first time from DevOps and since then I’m a DevOps enthusiast thanks to the great books of @genek101, @jez, @patrick.debois256, @jwillis and all other co-authors.   I’ll go back to office with new knowledge and ideas about how to improve our way of working. I’m working as a Lead Developer and IT-Architect in the Competence Center for Young Professionals at PostFinance, a Swiss Federal Bank where I established the new product development process – “The CCYP Way”, an analogy to Eric Ries “The Startup Way” 😉, which I want to share here with you. As you all probably can see is this process based on Lean Startup and DevOps. This process is a kind of a toolbox from which, depending on the state of the idea, we take more or less tools to work on that “idea”. After this summit I’ll definitely do some enhancements / adjustments thanks to all the inspirations I’ve gotten from you. 👍 I’m looking forward to some feedback 😊. I hope everything is self-explaining otherwise I’m pleased to give you more background. Best greetings from Bern, Switzerland!

That's cool. Do you have a Blog post, video or podcast that goes into more details on it?

Michael Kalbermatter16:06:04

No, not yet. I’ve written a module work during my studies but it doesn’t go into all the tiny details. It gives more a high level view. But I thought already about starting a blog.

I'm happy to hearing this. 😊 I tried putting everything I loved from the lean startup and DevOps books together in one picture, in the end it got a little bit big 😃

All of the important stuff is there. I love the pipeline. Most people start CD at "commit to trunk" 🙂

Michael Kalbermatter17:06:03

He he, yes. I tried to map it to our disciplines, it's maybe a special pipeline. 😄

Michael Kalbermatter17:06:37

If you would like to know more about let me know, it's my pleasure.

Not a criticism at all! This is my CD pipeline diagram. 🙂 Warning, I'm a terrible front end developer

Great conversations the last few days in the BOF sessions about #remote-work and how to keep the interaction and energy of the conference going after today.

I’ve been in person to the 2017 DOES London (as I had business trip to London at the time) and I have to say that I have enjoyed this virtual experience more. It was easier to keep track of what is going on, to engage with other attendees in the zoom sessions, I had more “hallway” conversations than 3 years ago. And the talks have been just superb. On top of it the reduced price compared to paying for conference and hotel was an easy sell to my manager. By attending in the BST timezone, I can see the conference uninterrupted by the rest of the company as they were asleep and I can still catch up on what I really have to later on when everybody wakes up. So for me, this has been a great experience, significantly better over attending 3 years ago.

Very similar experience for me. Excellent and remote had perks (cost savings, ease of interaction) that in person didn't. I was in Mountain Time Zone so the first session was at 1:30am but I was surprised how easy that was to deal with. My family was so impressed that I was on the London time zone while in the same house as them. 🙂

Agree. For me, huge time difference is an issue (I'm in JST, so 8 hours) , but still I've got the promotion to attend because of no travel expenses and no visa issues to deal with.
