http://rise8.us is looking to hire a VP of Operations (fully remote). We are a digital services firm specializing in software development for critical missions. Our main customer base is in US DoD and Federal. Responsibilities • Leading departments and operations of the company • Building systems into the way we work... startup to scaleup • Budgeting for multiple projects, including monitoring and controlling costs • Work closely with Human Resources to implement and refine company policies and procedures • Guiding, directing and evaluating the work of management and executive team members • Creating and implementing a strategic plan • Leveraging company outcomes (in prod 😉) to improve competitiveness • Tackling unforeseen issues and troubleshooting • Representing the company for external and internal events • Monitoring the landscape and attending industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives and ways to stay ahead • Identifying, training and developing leaders within the company and setting them on a path for management Desired Qualities/Experience • Experience at the Director level with the above in a Tech/Govtech or Consulting (services) business... bonus points for both • Blunt/radically honest, and able to receive the same • Must love systems. Detailed, meticulous, get stuff done, turn it into operating systems. • Data informed / lover of actionable metrics • Strategic integrator • Dots the I’sand crosses the T's… practical follow through on big ideas/vision • Growth/experimentation mindset, experience growing business that way • Very articulate... writing and speaking.
