Datavant is hiring: Senior Product Manager, Cloud Platform (IDP) 🚀 You came to ETLS to ship faster with fewer regrets—this role is exactly that. Mission 🛣️ Treat our internal cloud platform like a product. Build paved roads devs choose: self-service, smart guardrails, “secure by default.” Adoption > mandates. What you’ll own 📊 • A roadmap tied to real outcomes (DORA, SLOs, and actual usage—not vanity). • The hard trade-offs with Eng/SRE/Sec/FinOps: ⚡ velocity ↔️ 🛡️ reliability ↔️ 💸 cost. • Migrations that stick, deprecations that finish, and “it just works” docs/APIs. You might be a fit if ✅ • You’ve shipped K8s/IaC/CI/CD/observability/secrets that devs actually used. • You’ve moved a metric (lead time, change fail, MTTR, $/txn) and can show before/after. • You can align execs and engineers with one diagram, one narrative — and say “no” with data to preserve optionality. https://www.datavant.com/about/careers/open-roles/job?gh_jid=4896309008

I'm posting on behalf of my former manager, who I worked with for ~20 years across two companies. There was a bit of a coup at my company earlier this year, and they removed him unfairly. Of all of the people I have worked with, he is easily the best at building/maintaining connections, listening to dissenting views, and taking feedback - he consistently read my book recommendations (including many from IT Rev) and truly cares about the employees, customers, and the products he was involved with. While I worked with him he managed the development team, SOC, UK staff+sales, partner relationships, portfolio, roadmap, and was a key part of our ISO 27001 and SOC2 audits. Most recently he was our CTO, though I suspect he'd be happiest with a product focus or engineering leadership role. If anyone's company has a great culture and could use someone like him in the UK, please consider him. I'm planning to fly over to take him out for dinner when he finds his next role - I appreciated his leadership that much. https://www.linkedin.com/in/jasonhumphreysservices/
