👋 Hey folks : wondering where a good place would be to have community discussions I notice some of the other channels barely used (probably because you're all on so man other slacks/discords/etc.. ) I'd love to re-engage in more active discussions here! 🙂 📣
Hi, Jim!!! So great to hear from you — in fact, @bscott and I have been hard at resurrecting the ETLS Slack history, and creating a way to get a summary of all Slack messages via email. You can see our ongoing work here! https://slack-retriever-671898181625.us-central1.run.app/ Should we create a new channel called #community-discussion? Your call — just say the word, and we’ll make it so!
Hi @genek lovely to hear from you + @annp! 🙂 Yes I think there is a wealth of insight to be gained for sure - and actually - would suggest ripe for some time / topic LLM analysis -> email / insights! :D reminds me of the good ol' IRC days and the rise of http://bash.org (http://web.archive.org/web/20161023171257/http://www.bash.org/ http://www.bash.org/>) folks would paste quotes and vote on them - and get fed new/highest ranking quotes 🙂 soo many wonderful things in there.. a new channel would be good - and together with this tooling could be really awesome! - #community-discussion is perfect 🙂 I'd be happy to help moderate it also. kudos on the excellent book btw @genek - love how you're re-finding joy in coding again - something that resonates with many of us more matured developers 🙂
Hi @genek Given the wealth of knowledge on the ETLS summit sessions, I am curious to know if you guys are exploring summaries of the sessions and generate content. I want to see all the sessions but also understand time limitations. Is this on the radar?
I’ve been thinking about that the whole week — let me see if I can get something up and running by the end of the week. Can we move this to #C09PVH6E4TE? You can see some of the tools the @brian984 and I are working on , with the help of @james.moverley!
