General question to the speakers working for multinational companies. How are you dealing with cultural differences and teams that are spread across timezones? Not ideal, I know. TIA

Saki Arkoudopoulos09:06:57

@roland.harvey 1. We fly our global teams in at least once a year for a sufficient period to allow bonding & relationship building - we spent a lot of time on this to allow serendipitous encounters too. 2. We use video conferencing by default.

@scott.havens - That was a great case study talk Scott! Are you going to be around?

Sireesha Vedula09:06:46

@scott.havens - would like to chat with you about Kafka

Scott Havens10:06:18

@svedula I will, all day!

Jasper van de Peppel12:06:53

@jaclyn.damiano liked your talk Tuesday on actionable plan to increase (gender) diversity at Verizon. Do you have any ideas how to translate this to a smaller company, like my own (200 engineers in 5-600 person total)?

Marcos Trama13:06:06

@ross.clanton very good presentation today! Do you have any video on youtube or something like? I wanna to spread these words to my team and colleagues at Brazil. Thanks!

Anton Moor13:06:12

@cdavis great talk, thank you! I think you mentioned that the tool for K8S nodes visualisation is open source - what is the name of it?

Did you all see (I tweeted) that when I got back to my computer, the workloads had, in fact, been redistributed to include the new server - happened with the second repave.

@scott.havens Hi - our presentation really helped me with the concepts around the event-based architectures ilve been seeing in the last couple of years - thanks, I'd love some pointers on how your design handles out of order messages.
