Anyone still monitoring these channels? I have a question about access to the video libraries?

Hi @jim_ball! I can answer your questions.

Jim18:10:35

Hey thanks Alex! Do we still get a full month of access to all of the videos with the conference?

Use other profile18:10:22

Unlimited for two weeks after all the plenary and breakout talks are up. We’ll send an email to announce that has been completed. Afterwards it’s 10 views/month.

Jim18:10:23

Roger that. My existing account shows Free Membership, is that correct for proper access when they're all posted?

Use other profile18:10:57

Yes, ignore that! Yours won’t actually hit a limit.

Jim18:10:08

Appreciate it!

Laura19:10:25

When will all the videos be available?

Use other profile19:10:10

@laura.levandoski we are working on the rest of plenary talks. All of the talks could be available as soon as the end of the week.

@alex I'm confused on this and would like to understand more , as this is different than my previous experiences with the conference content, post-conference. Do I understand this correctly that we cannot download the videos (cant find a method like in the past) to watch locally or offline as we need even though we attended the conference? And that we also can't watch the videos after 2 weeks without paying...except at a throttled pace? Is this a new/additional monetization model? Why restrict/throttle conference attendees?

Hi @russ.webster! Happy to answer your questions. The conference videos have not been made available for download in the past. Prior to the pandemic we hosted them on YouTube, and since have hosted them in our custom Video Library. The two weeks of unlimited access (we typically bump it to a month) is for attendees to be able catch up on the missed talks, and then most people find the 10 views/month on our free tier to be sufficient. Any income from his helps us to continue development of the video platform and the conference tools like the Slack widget on the big screen, for example. Please feel free to DM if you have any additional concerns, or any ideas/feedback on other ways we could approach things! This is a learning journey for us, and we want the content from the conference to be useful to everyone in the community.
