Can’t wait to attend another DOES! My life, career, and company were changed by my last event. There now exists an org and real progress! And best of all I made so many friends...

Will you be speaking @chris.gallivan - sharing your experience?

Chris Gallivan, FCA, Builder of JOY10:09:00

Not this year @olivier.jacques

Would you be willing to share a little about the way the event changed things for you, @chris.gallivan ?

Chris Gallivan, FCA, Builder of JOY12:10:23

Sure. I was the head of QA at FiatChrysler. From a mindset point of view, the event caused me to think broader and consider the entire value stream rather than my QA silo. I wound up tearing down my silo and seizing the role of DevOps and Agile enablement at FiatChrysler. I met a community of practitioners (Dojo Consortium) from 50+ large companies- we have been in a continuous conversation on slack since 2016. I stood up a DevOps Dojo at FCA and built a CI/CD platform team. With the help of many friends, my career and the trajectory of my company have changed. I even setup an internal conference called ADaPT at FCA and “brought the conference to the people”. A simple conference has changed so much more than I would have ever believed!

@bryan.finster has been a true mentor to me along this journey. He works for a small retailer in Arkansas:)

I took a “Mecca” trip to Target as well, paid my own way when the company wouldn’t sponsor and drove ten hours..

All driven by the desire to make lives better and to payback the debt I owe to this community

If I wasn’t so busy working the work, I would have wrapped this in a presentation- maybe next year

Nick Eggleston (free radical)08:10:06

Thanks Chris, that’s a very inspiring story, especially building that inside an org the size of FCA.
