I work in a large consulting firm and burnout comes to us in the form of pressures and challenges of constant task-switching, scattered priorities and tough bureaucratic processes for mundane requests and approvals. There is also a tradition of building new capabilities/ service offerings through powerpoint vs. actual delivery methods. It's exhausting and it doesn't feel like we get the time to focus on either 1)client work, 2) internal capability development or continuous improvement, or 3) innovative approaches to delivery. This spans across both our technical delivery teams and our consulting practices
I feel your pain @masnyder2506 - this is a sad truth at most large companies, unless it's a unicorn
It is fun trying to be the virtuous insurgent and address this from the inside.

I was lucky enough to present at the Defense Entrepreneurs Forum conference this year, but this isn't about my talk. This talk from the third day of the conference looks at addressing the cultural transformation needed within the DoD, but is applicable to all groups of people. Panelists discuss views of culture on innovation - with direct impact on burnout and performance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7rQZfIiWpg . *forgive the focus in the video
