Yes, thereβs a post-conference #happy-hour : https://devopsenterprise.slack.com/archives/C015FGB49UK/p1602768960072900

Took me a while to realize there was a page2!
Missing the Slack reaction emojis in Zoom chat.

Didn't the Eagles write a song about that? (ok, maybe with grenadine)
aha moment: a Civ style tech tree to communicate the dependencies between practices
iirc Accelerate has some of that, just needs a small tweak of presentation
Accelerate is wider than it is deep, so "some of that" is probably accurate.
There are like 30 things with some levels. The Civ tech tree (and civics tree!) have more like 4 adjacent things and 30 levels.
And something like Transformational Leadership really deserves the whole civics tree
(And in Civilization you can decide to invent dictatorship...)
Waking up at 4:10 a.m. for happy-hour. This is new.
Iβve never heard of a sprint thatβs 2.5 days beforeβnew on me!
Bryan has convinced my team for a 5days sprint , believe me initially team was reluctant after 2 sprints they said we do not want to go back to 10days sprint.
They complete User Story in 2 days , so they can run in 2.5 days sprint too π
Iβve done 5 day sprints. Iβm doing 1 day sprints now. 2.5 is something Iβve never heard of.
@genek101 the conference is still going on at the virtual bar. Thanks for building this community of people who care.
Looks like I crashed listening to @bryan.finster and @james141... what could be a better end to the conference? ππ΄
Thanks for coming and thanks for hanging in there with us. I'm definitely sleeping on the plane home.
Ahh yes the virtual plane. Iβm glad I muted before falling asleep hehe
This is not the most effective work day after the happy hour from 4 am to first meeting at 10. No regrets and the most personal and useful part of this summit. Still, grounded on the topics from three days, so a great recap. Thanks @bryan.finster and @dana.finster
Almost better than doing it in person. :) That was Ana maxing group to hang out with.
Just got done recording a Troubleshooting Podcast episode and I similarly warned Squirrel that I wasnβt going to be at my best after being on the Finster happy hour call until past 06:00 here. Maybe not my coherent but happy to discuss one of the #lean-coffee aha moments while it was fresh. (Also to give a shout out to the Finsters!)
Wednesday! Iβm looking forward to hearing it too, to see coherent I sound. π

@jtf Just queued this up next in the list... I assume you are at your most erudite after the Finster war story Zoom sessions... π
Great episode!!! I loved the discussion, and holy cow, you sound great for having been up until 6am!!!
I thanks DOES for the energizing week! Oh, and I realize I forgot to tag @bryan.finster and @dana.finster ...
Every year i come back energized knowing I can change Walmart. Every year we get closer.
Thanks for the shout out in the podcast @jtf π Complex Adaptive Systems of Complex Adaptive Systems. With https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_aversion.
Wow! Thanks for the call out @jtf. We miss the bar conversations and we refuse to be victims of circumstance. π
A thank you to all the #happy-hour crews - I managed to keep the post-talk karaoke tradition alive plus stay up way to late at "the bar" having great conversations. Not bad for a virtual conference! I miss the heck out of in person events, but this was truly the next best thing. Thanks to all the sparkly sponsors for hosting the online fun:beers:
Thanks so much for coming Paula. It was great hanging out with you again.
Thanks everyone for coming last night. That was a great conversation. I need to go through the chat logs now and find all of the useful links. Next we need to find a way to index all of the talks by persona @scott.prugh and create an open source βhave this problem? Try this next.β guide.
Want to post it in Google docs or some other shared workspace for mining?
So tired this morning. I miss being able to sleep on the plane home from Vegas.
Cheers to @dana.finster and @bryan.finster for getting the redshirts ready for battle after hours. Really enjoyed the conversations - learned loads being a fly on the wall. Appreciate the community building.
@bryan.finster @jtf I can't for the life of me remember what SADMF stood for... can either of you remind me?
