Good morning! Looking forward to my toast for breakfast. 🙂
Good morning! Looking forward to my toast for breakfast. 🙂
I find it mindbogging that you have not had a taste yet.
Good morning! Just posted in the #games channel that people get happy when you give them bread and circuses (games). The games part was easy top find look like this channel is the right one for the bread 😂
Virgin Atlantic gave us breadcrumbs already yesterday
My two slices were photo shy—but delicious! So I borrowed my daughters slices in mid-buttering to offer proof of toast.
me wonders if he should let people know that he just mixed up another batch of dough…
Think it's important to let us know, we were made part of this process since yesterday, so we love having the updates in this "area" 😉
Skills! Makes me want banana bread.
While we wait for Jeffrey's toast, I'll share a picture with culture in it.

Still in wraps for a while. Fed it a few hours ago.
The session with @jonathansmart1 , @berendzs and @rohrersm et al was really interesting - thank you
A quick mingle around the venue during the break
Looks like some serious trees @ferrix. Where are you based out of?
Finland. Currently at the summer cottage on an island near Hanko, the southern tip of the mainland.
DOES always has great energy, making it a fun conference. In addition to the people I think a lot of this is due to @genek101’s inspiring rallying, so I tried to capture some of that in a gif.
Not running out of first world problems. My phone Wifi hotspot died near the window for too much sun. Killing gadflies by the dozen and rationing the red wine because of the long roundtrip to the mainland and the wine shop.
Good morning folks. Where are the zoom links for the happy hour sessions? I’d like to join and try a few tonight
We have a happy hour (with Karaoke planned) at https://zoom.us/j/93695995535
We have our Happy Hour tonight with Kendra Little hosting a little fun quiz: https://redgate.zoom.us/j/91228088517
Today’s loaf is now proofing. And I got to try a new flour today! Looking forward to see how this compares...

Maybe we could work out a bread for bourbon swap!
Eight? Fake news. There are like tops 7 types of grain in the world.
Expecting controversy I looked up the URL this morning: https://www.fwpmatthews.co.uk/product/matthews-eight-grain-flour/
And you’re correct @ferrix, they’re counting some seeds it looks like: Contains: Wheat, Rye Flakes, Oat Flakes, Malted Wheat, Maize Grits, Linseed, Sunflower seed, Millet Seed.
Still, Eight Grains is better marketing than Eight Things, so I see why they took some creative license. 🙂
Eight Things would possibly be Wheat, Oat Flakes, Linseed, Mallet, Entire Sunflower, Headphones, Your Lost Keys and a Cherry on Top
haha new type of flour is always disrupting a bit the flow… I do love to compare pizza baking it with CI/CD flow. new flour is new type(language) of code coming in… you have to get use to it to get to the same delivery. with regards to the pipeline itself, new tools such as a new castiron pan, or entire new oven change the process of production entirely. and then talking about the customer, the wishes, these are actually expressed in the stories, what do you want to see delivered… Ingredients determine the outcome of the line. everything summed up, it’s about the outcome, delighted family members or friends….

haha, well I never made a picture of incidents… but I can call out 3 types: • total pizza collapse during the baking process • wrong product delivered, pizza containing mushrooms towards someone who is allergic • greedy user, burning his/her mouth
so I would not suggest you take incidents, but more prototypes….
@amy.johnston when are we gonna make a video about this topic?
greedy user, burning his/her mouth < I can understand their greed, pizzas look great!
sound like you have your next conference talk all mapped out Andreas. 🙂
haha @jtf I’m considering already for a longer period of time. harvesting lessons learned for a while already for example: High speed is not always good, half baked product burned products sacrifice quality Parallel with just one team is hard since you can not run both the making and baking process Variation and calibration is required to get the optimal outcome
Do you offer curbside pickup Andreas?
Okay. That's been fed and now turning into a mix.
Okay. That's been fed and now turning into a mix.
So, wheat, spelt, rye are in and letting settle.
But this tabbouleh is not going to be Done during this lunch break.
@jtf Are we effectively tripling the amount of conference bread ever baked?
@jtf Are we effectively tripling the amount of conference bread ever baked?
Seems very likely! … or at least we’re baking more bread at a software conference than there has been software written at a baking conference. 🙂
Enterprise Baking conference or the regular kind?
However, we're fresh out of sourdough starter since we had this awesome breakfast pancake.
My wife is the chef, a patisseur and a baker by profession. I am a food tourist.

@hugos another one for you! https://www.greatitalianchefs.com/recipes/hugo-cocktail-recipe
hehe best cocktail ever! At least the name 🙂 That looks so fresh and it is so hot now here in the UK...
Indeed. The round one goes in the oven today and the square (yes, more square than pictured) is for Friday.
Both are from the same batch. The other one just gets to rest in the fridge for longer.

“The Distance” is so appropriate for DOES — “he’s going for speed” !

1. 19:54 2. Rose but switching to red

Now that we are all socially distancing and having a happy hour, there's this old article worth a read that gives a couple of pro tips. https://drunkard.com/the-zen-of-drinking-alone/
Karaoke is still going strong here! https://zoom.us/j/93695995535
Apparently the canteen has some decently barbequed chicken.
I don't really fish. The father in law does though.
Join the Karaoke party…listen to the amazing singers this conference attracts! https://zoom.us/j/93695995535
Would have loved to join the AMA with @david627 but the gotomeeting only allows me to dial-in there's no pc audio option...

I found it under the settings gear in the upper right. Took me a little bit to figure out but I eventually found an option that let me join it in the other mode.
Ah! I gave up too soon... I dialed in using Skype.
Umm. The bread has gone very flat.

Luckily I am not getting paid for this.
it already shipped. Looks yummy. https://devopsenterprise.slack.com/archives/C015FGB49UK/p1593028672441100
haha it’s always a challenge, you have to stretch it much more and more. fold it, fold it and fold it again, and then at the end make a nice balloon.
Stretching and folding were fine but the 30C temperatures made it go all over the place quickly.
that is so true… the temperature and humidity matters a lot
This is the hottest June in ages here, so it really makes things complex.
Social distancing. I can put a slice in a basket if you pick up by own drone.
How did you bake it? In a container or a baking stone or something else?
Just an oven tray with baking paper. The oven we have here is quite narrow so not seen in the picture are some points of contact with the innards of the oven.
At home, we'd be using an iron pot, a clay pot or a baking stone.
