Some of us had a lunch discussion trying to define the minimum bar for "we are executing continuous delivery". Interested in contributing to the effort as a conference project? https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uYgYSKD_U2nF7CbHy8G82CcL8Yax--PMoULi3Jkhb-s/edit?usp=sharing

It was for sure a really thought and conversation provoking discussion Bryan! really enjoyed the bits i did catch! 😄 certainly opened up a Pandora's thought box of requisitioning my understanding of what continual delivery actually is!
@chawklady @james.moverley @ferrix @ibathazi @chris.gallivan421 @lucas.rettig @stephen @tbannon @tashfeen_mahmood @dacahill7 @jeff.gallimore @genek @rradclif
I fleshed it out a bit more with context @james.moverley 🙂
Rules for something to be added to the list: It's foundational to the practice to create the improvements we are looking for and applies to all contexts.
Thanks for jumping on this, Brian. It aligns with more than your lunch chat yesterday ... it's been a constant and chronic challenge. If we are able to drive a community set of definitions this way, it should help (though won't cure) the misunderstanding and wonky goals we see now.
@bryan.finster486 i’ve always been a big fan of referencing DORA content: https://www.devops-research.com/research.html. since we’re already referencing the metrics (abuse of them notwithstanding… like from your talk 😉) for example…
I agree. This is step one of "measurable practices we can gamify that apply everywhere."
I would just add that these practices need to be adopted across all components of the product. So for example, do not only do CI for your Java code and not for your DB
@jeff.gallimore, what’s the direct link to that page
Looks a lot tidier today. Amazing what you can get done when I'm sleeping 😉
Morning everyone. Don't forget about the BVSSH meetup happening after closing remarks today in Gather. Come share stories and learn about the community to keep the conversation going! https://www.meetup.com/bvssh-americas/events/281245116/
Shout out to @alex @mvk842 @mollyc… as i am searching your names.. WHOLLY HECK.. i did not know i was teamed up with THE IT Revolution Team! Now I feel extra silly I was your ghost whisperer! I had an amazing time yesterday, would totally do that again with you all. Though we lost by a margin, I felt we made a great team!
I wouldn’t have anyone else in the entire conference to be our ghost whisperer! Was a lot fun 🙂
I think most of the IT Rev Team was doing the Escape Room last night.. I think we picked the right happy hour event!
I loved the energy and all the great pictures we had taken.. I would love to see a side by side comparison of those picture.. Just saying we f*cking killed it for those pics. Even @mollyc son’s cameo as our witch on the broom. I’ll be honest, i didn’t quite get the survivor mentioned until the very end, glad you could make it. And @joemoretti, glad it worked out the way it did as we both where ghost and I bow down to your win respectfully!
I think Nikki( i hope thats her name) from Sonatype has the access to it.
That was by far the best virtual activity I’ve done since the pandemic began. It was totally neck and neck and both teams did awesome! 👻👻👻👻👻
YAY! I debated for so long about the activity and @joemoretti love your comment!
I promise I will share the pics when I get them ! I have not received anything yet but a side by side comparison is a must!
Congrats to @nmejer, @marjorie, @joemoretti and @kearav for winning Sonatype’s Haunted Escape room. We were literally neck in neck the entire time. Heard that numbers pyramid was challenging to you all. I BELIEVE that hidden message recipe book had us really going crossed-eyed trying to read something that wasn’t there. 😅
I remember the magician last year and I must say, this was SOOOO SOO Cool. You all think of the coolest things to do in the virtual world!
Thanks for the 💕@cnguyen the recipe book was all @joemoretti 🙌:skin-tone-3:
