I may have missed the details but can someone help me recollect till when we will be able to view the session recordings after the event? is it for a week? and will it be all?
14 days! (although you’ll hear 7 days in the opening remarks). and yes for all videos.
Trying to watch via https://doesvirtual.com/watch and there is an error message. Anyone else have this issue?
I'm watching on my ipad now. Its ok. On notebook with chrome its not working. I cleaned all cookies. The error is ERR_INVALID_HANDLE
"It looks like the webpage at https://does-player.gaiwan.co/index.html? might be having issues, or it may have moved permanently to a new web address."
Are you able to see other pages of the conference? http://doesvirtual.com/games for example?
@moira.cheng could you please try and use Google chrome if possible, while we try to reproduce this?
I had a similar issue, but found that my companies content filter was blocking it (as I was on our VPN). I disconnected and it worked perfectly 🙂
@alex @alex.burnett @mitesh Alex Ryan you're right.... my company VPN was blocking it
I missed the details regarding slide decks availability for download - could you pls share link here as well ?
Linked you over to the #faq post: https://devopsenterprise.slack.com/archives/C021Z8J2FB3/p1620766178008200
On watch I receive this error "It looks like the webpage at https://does-player.gaiwan.co/index.html? might be having issues, or it may have moved permanently to a new web address." Anyone can help with this ?
@mario.r.correia other people were having this problem until they turned off their company’s vpn. that resolved the issue.@alex
Also @mario.r.correia, try this link and follow the advice re: your company’s VPN. https://doesvirtual.com/watch
Thanks, confirmed with other college and without VPN it works, will see post saved
I read somewhere about the ability to share presentations with those who did not attend the conference - is that true?
@katharine.chajka Yep! The video library is open to anyone - they just need to enter their email address to set up their account: https://videolibrary.doesvirtual.com/
folks your extended break - panel, we can hear set up discussions and the background music playing over the speakers
thanks for the heads up. we’re looking into the audio issue with that.
Sorry for this! The audio on tracks 1-3 are fixed now 🙏
Hi folks is there somewhere we can download slide packs for the presentations please?

Channel is empty for me as well, not sure if there is supposed to be something there? 😬
A minor bit of feedback. The Sched platform seems to reset my time zone back to UK pretty often. Don't know why. Seems like it should be sticky. I guess I could get better at O'clock addition...
Yes, great feedback that we can send to Sched for sure. It’s unfortunately outside our control as users. 😞
Timezone is a part of the URL, so if you use some bookmark or something, I guess that could reset it  (although for me it does stick, even when going to the original url)
Question: Is there a possibility to add a zone/section to the Gather space (doesn’t have to be a separate room)? I ask as I brought up a question with Gene in General about how to do conference photos this year, and I was thinking we might be able to set up some sort of “photo booth”. 😁 (Still an idea in progress)
Very interesting! Thinking it’d be a framed area focused on avatars and video?
Yeah. Gather already automatically pops up peoples video feeds. It’d be a little artificial, but we could take a screen shot as a sort of ‘group photo’?
People could cluster there to take photos with each other. Maybe there are some other creative ideas to make it better?
Just some feedback overall for future, at least my opinion. Love the sessions so far by the way. Even though this is virtual and you don't have to run between rooms, it would be nice if there was a bit of time between each session to allow what you heard to sink in, catch a bio break, get a drink, ... without missing part of your next session.
@birdmr thanks for that perspective. it’s a constant struggle to find the right balance of number of breaks, break length, more programming, start/end times, … what format have you found that works for you, at least in terms of time between talks?
With meetings at work, now that everyone is virtual, we are recommending 5 minutes for a meeting of 30 minutes, 10 for an hour meeting, 15 for longer. Having a few minutes to digest what you just heard before jumping into the next mind shift certainly seems helpful.
I agree. I’ve booked my day full as I try to make use of the opportunity to sponge up as much knowledge as I can, but a 5 minute break between talks would already be very helpful.
(We did have one today, but we had to delete it because some of the talks [including my own] went a little long.) I think tomorrow, the 5m break survived — at least, at the time of this writing. 🙂 PS: Thx for the note — I’ve been debating @annp and @jeff.gallimore whether the 5m break would even be noticed or appreciated!
